midnight update
The picture is:
8pm-9pm: frequent contractions
9pm - terbutaline
9:30 - contraction
? 10:30 and on - more frequent contractions, wasn't keeping track exactly. so the terbutaline didn't last as long this time (also her negative reaction to it wasn't as strong).
10:50 - oral indomethacin
contractions: 11:05, 11:10, 11:15, 11:20, 11:27, 11:30, 11:32
delta: 5, 5, 5, 5, 7, 3, 2
During this last period we were singing together, as Tovar's heart rate was a bit high (150-160). We sang mockingbird, then turned to such KR favorites as White Flag, Thank You, and My Immortal.
S asked if there was anything else we could do, I at first thought "um...I dunno...that's the doctor's job, they have the drugs", but then recalled the Trendelenberg position (head down, feet up), which is commonly used for preterm labor. It takes pressure off the cervix - seems pretty obvious that having the baby not hanging down there is a good thing.
11:30 - tilted bed so gravity pulls Tovar the right direction
contractions: 11:32, 11:44, 11:51, 11:57, 12:03
delta: 12, 7, 6, 6
Seems a little better. Still not doing so great. S just got another dose of oral nifedipine (midnight). Seems a decent chance that this might turn into labor :(
3:15AM update: From 12:03, contractions 6, 6, 6, 6, 9, 20, 18, 18, 14, 13, 8, 9, 6, 12, (*), 54, 6
