wacky
Patri just called me from the NICU and informed me that Tovar is off the cpap and back on the nasal cannula today!!! We're both rather nervous about this, given that we've been seeing him have all kinds of de-sats and bradys over the past few days, including the bad ones, but the doctors know about that too and have studied this stuff much more than we have, so hopefully they're right.
The cultures haven't shown any infection location, but Patri confirmed that the CRP was high, so Tovar probably had an infection that they just couldn't locate. Its possible that it was just a false sign, but probably not given the symptoms and that they seem to have very suddenly gotten better for the most part with the course of antibiotics.
Tovar only stopped breathing seven times today, and apparently hasn't desaturated to the point of setting off alarms at all, so here's a very tentative, "its looking good," for now.
